“Just put it on the plastic card.” Everything just goes on the card these days. Well everything except the tithe.
Let me give you a look into my life. I roll out of bed, grab my wallet. On the way to work, sometimes, I stop by Chik-fil-A and grab a biscuit. Pay with my plastic check card. Lunch goes on the card too. Smoothie after work, that’s right, it goes on the card also. At the end of the month I see my paycheck. Not on paper. David from the church sends it via email. It’s called direct deposit. My plastic credit card is used for everything… Well except for that one check I write to the church. I like it that way. I don’t want that to change. It’s a tradition. It’s what I do. Is that bad?
What about you. When you eat at Wendy’s, Drive thru, do you use $$ or plastic?
Be honest. You use your credit/debit card for everything. It just makes life easier.
Credit Card Giving and the Church
We see and use Kiosk everywhere.
When you go to the movies do you go to the person behind the glass or the Kiosk?
At the airport, person next to the scale or the Kiosk?
If we are going to keep up with the times shouldn’t we have a Kiosk in the church.
My life could be changing. Not sure what my reaction would be if on Sunday night I walked into church to see a “Giving Kiosk” in our sanctuary?
We may have one more decition to make…
The usher and bucket or the giving kiosk?
