Last Monday night at dinner Billy Hornsby (my boss) invited my to his house to eat fried fish and sweet potatoes.
After our meal he asked, “What are 3 leadership lessons you have learned in the past year and a half?”

1.  Let people work in their strengths.

2.  Do your 5%.

3.  Communicate.

Most of these I have learn from him or those he has mentored.

#1  Should speak for it’s self.
#2  Focus on the things that only you can do and let others take care of the rest.  No one can do 100% of the work in a large organization. That is why you should put your focus where you are great.
#3  Simple leaders communicate.  This is one reason I have this blog.  I want to become a better communicator.
